By recording this song I hope to help people remember the cost of war and also to share the feelings that the families of the armed forces who are away for so much time still go through today and to let them know how much we appreciate the work they do. Lest we Forget.
The message in the song lets us share in the pain of those left waiting for the return of their loved ones. The song asks us to “turn the dark clouds inside out” to reveal their silver lining and to stay strong while the soldiers are away at war. The original title of the song and the last line is “Til the boys come home” ; for me the song is about being strong while their families wait for their return
Well, how lucky do I feel? Today I had my 3rd opportunity to be interviewed by the AMAZING Sir Terry Wogan at the BBC Radio 2 studios, and this time I brought some insanely talented musicians along to play along side me, too! Thanks so much to Sam Rommer, Sam Whiting and James Rees-Flynn for performing so beautifully today and being such inspiring people.
Thank you so much to everyone who listened, and to anyone who may be new to the “Emma Stevens family” today – WELCOME!! Please sign up to the mailing list so I can give you a free acoustic version of Make My Day – my brand new single!
I can’t quite get over this. 8 months after my last release… My second album is available to pre-order! Out in November.
I hope you like it!!! iTunes have given me so much support as an unsigned artist and I would be so thrilled if you enjoyed Enchanted whether you’d listen to the previews of my new album. If you like what you hear please pre-order “Waves”… It’s a bit of a journey that I’m pretty proud of 🙂
I am absolutely over the moon to announce that my BRAND NEW SINGLE “Make my Day” will receive its first ever play on Wogan this Sunday 20th… Make sure you tune in between 11 and 1 to hear the exclusive!
Richard Madeley will be sitting in for Wogan this weekend, but here are a couple of pics of Terry and I from last years radio session at BBC Radio 2 and live in Hyde Park!
