I’m absolutely delighted to announce that on Friday 22nd November I will be releasing my song “Atoms” as a single! It’s been remixed by the nonpariel Pete Woodroffe.. I can’t tell you how much this means to me. It’s a song I co-wrote with Charlie Midnight and out of all of my songs, it’s one of the closest to my heart. I know every artists has a special connection with certain songs they’ve written – Atoms is mine!
Many of you know I lost my Mum to cancer. As well as teaching me so many things about love, life, music and nature, she instilled so much spirituality in me. She loved all faiths as long as it gave hope to people and didn’t cause anyone harm. She gave me so much warmth and it really comes out in this song. If you have lost anyone in the past and are struggling with the idea of not seeing them again, I hope this song brings you peace.
I have the great pleasure to announce that twice a month I will be visiting two hospitals in London offering #lullabyhour for the babies and mothers in the Imperial Neonatal units. Bonding, tears, a bit of relaxing ….Exploring and pioneering in a very new way…❤️ Music Therapy is so important for everyone, and even the tiniest of babies respond to it. The amazing charity behind this is Music in Hospitals & Care and there are also many people behind scenes who have made it happen. I feel very privileged to be chosen to be a part of something so special and personal.
Here’s a photo of a lovely mother and baby I sang to yesterday. It was pretty amazing to see how cathartic the music was for them both. I was blown away by the staff at the two hospitals, the care and kindness shown towards these poorly and tiny little babies and their Mummy’s and Daddy’s was so moving. I can’t wait to go back again in two weeks time to meet more wonderful parents and their babies. Their strength is inspiring.
Thank you so much to everyone who came along. I had such a fabulous time on stage performing to you and then meeting you all afterwards was the cherry on the cake!! I can’t wait to get back out on the road again soon, but until then I’ll be in the studio finishing up my new music!!
I’ve had a busy couple of months!
