HUGE HUGE HUGE thanks to BBC Radio 2 for giving me the opportunity to headline the BBC Introducing Stage… Must just say thanks to BBC Introducing South for being incredible and supporting me so much, and to Sir Terry Wogan and his team (especially Ste Softly) for inviting me to perform live on BBC Radio 2 at 11am!

Now I should try and sleep…  That’s going to be hard!!

Clare Balding BBC RADIO 2!!

If you missed it, listen here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b038gymj

Wow!! What a morning! I can’t quite believe in the space of 3 days I have been in the BBC Radio 2 studio’s twice… Today I was interviewed by the legendary Clare Balding!! What a beautiful, lovely lady she is!! I played my song “Sunflower” which is about dealing with the loss of my Mum. It can be a really hard song to get through because of where it came from and its poignancy so I was lucky enough to be joined by my good friend Sam, who plays lead guitar in my backing band and Pete Woodroffe (my co-writer and producer). Thanks for the snap below, Pete!

I can’t tell you how exciting this is – right I have 3 EP’s all in the top 100 UK main iTunes Album charts… charts

Achieving this as an unsigned artist just absolutely blows me away. A massive thank you to BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 2 for everything…

Bring on EP 4!! I may just have to put Sunflower on it…

BBC RADIO 2 WITH CHRIS EVANS!

I can’t quite get over the morning I have had! BBC Radio 2.. Chris Evans Breakfast Show… I used to listen to him on my way to school every morning and only dreamt that one day I would actually be able to play my songs live in his studio on National Radio! I also had the great pleasure in meeting David Walliams… WOW! What an amazing man! Talented flautist  “Simenon” joined in on my song “A Place Called You” on the second time round playing it and we had so much fun…  LISTEN HERE! I start at around 1 1/2 hours into the show… http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0384855

Here I am in the studio with David…

… Since the interview I have all three EP’s in the top 15 of the iTunes Singer Songwriter Charts! WOW!

I want to say a massive thanks to all my friends, family and supporters out there who have been tweeting, facebooking and generally being lovely and wonderful. I can’t tell you how much it has touched my heart and how LUCKY I feel to have you all on this journey with me.

I just wanna also say a HUGE thank you to my Mum – who I just know would be SO PROUD and is shining like the angel she is right now, Pete Woodroffe, Flemming Associates, Claire Paxton-Rider, Absolute Marketing and Distribution, Alex Simpson, Dad, Ellen, and my amazing band who tour with me in my little red bug that breaks down! You have no idea how much you all mean to me!

BBC RADIO 2 PLAYLIST – A Place Called You!

I couldn’t quite believe my eyes when I woke up to 3 text messages from my team yesterday all saying “Emma, you make the playlist again!” It is the most humbling feeling in the world to know that NATIONAL RADIO… (BBC RADIO 2!!!!!) Like my songs enough to put them on their playlist for all their 15.3 million weekly listeners to hear. I am so grateful to everyone who keeps believing in me and supporting me. Being an unsigned (broke) artist can be so hard, but life is about ups and downs – this is possibly the biggest “UP” I could have imagined right now as far as my career goes. 🙂 HAPPYYYYYY!!!!!
